Medical Typist Advert

St Agnes Surgery is a well organised and friendly Practice with a list size of 8,000 patients. We are a busy Practice situated in beautiful Cornwall and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated individual to provide additional typing support for our Secretarial Team.

The successful candidate will be a competent typist. Knowledge of working within General Practice may be advantageous, as is an understanding of SystmOne and Lexacom but this is not essential.

The post holder will be patient focused and have the drive to provide exceptional levels of care at all times. They will need to be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment, responding to changes, whilst having the ability to remain calm and methodical at all times. The post holder will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an eye for detail and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a fixed term (1 year maternity cover) part time role for 22.5 hours per week, working over 3 days (Monday to Wednesday).   Flexibility and adaptability are important as additional holiday cover will be required for this role.

Salary: Dependent on experience.

Additional benefits include access to the NHS Pension Scheme, 5 weeks’ annual leave (plus additional bank/public holidays). Please note entitlement is pro-rata for part-time employees.

Phlebotomist/HCA

St Agnes Surgery is a well organised and friendly Practice with a list size of 8,000 patients. We are a busy Practice situated in beautiful Cornwall and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team.

Due to retirement we are looking for an experienced phlebotomist for 10 hours per week.

We need someone who can perform ECGs, take blood pressures and fit and remove 24 hour BP and ECG machines, though training will be given in the latter.

This a varied role which will also involve running and managing your own Health Check Clinics on a rotational basis, training will be provided.

Applicants will understand the need for discretion and confidentiality at all times relating to patients and staff.

Provision of holiday/sickness cover for colleagues will feature

Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety at work and Practice Policy.

Report significant events/near misses as per practice policy.

The closing date for this post is Sunday 2nd August and we are looking to interview the following week

Pay Rate: Agenda for Change Band 2 point 6
